Enough Already!

You really would think that a city that was under siege for 3 years wouldn't care for the sound of anything sounding like a mortar being shot or a gun being fired. Why people shoot fireworks off here - that go boom very loudly - for Ramadan, for Christmas, and no doubt, for New Year's, is beyond me.

Thank you for the images. On the last link you've provided, p. 2, the 9th picture down, where the blackest smoke is, is the area where we now live. I have only witnessed war from afar - our troops go elsewhere to fight, not on our homeland. I find it so incredible that people stayed, and so sad that so many died and there was so much suffering. In 12 years, Sarajevo's come a long way, but I know it's still not like the way it was before the war.

Exactly, it is so sad! Also, you are right about photo posted on 30/07/2005 15:16. Here is one more 1992-1996 galery: http://www.sa92.ba/v1/index.php?x=browse&category=&pagenum=1
