Tuesday Time

I really like being unemployed on sunny days. I was able to clean up my house and then read in my hammock for awhile while the sun warmed my spirit. I listened to the birds chirp, and today I learned the sound a cardinal makes. He would sing, and then he'd be answered by an unseen cardinal, and then he'd sing again, and he'd be answered again, and then he flew away to find either his brother or his mate. (I don't know if females sound the same or not.) It's kinda fun to stop and breathe in a day.

I also got a key to the shed that houses the lawnmower. Shed is filthy and has a huge hole in the ceiling, so the bins will not be going in there. I saved a big black furry caterpillar from certain death by moving him out of the way of the door. I realized that boxers leave big piles of poop, which is no wonder why I smell it when I'm in said hammock. I need to figure out a solution to this stinky situation.

I tried to update my iPod today, and my computer said my virtual memory was low. Now I don't understand why this is happening to me, and I don't quite know how to fix it. My iTunes is on my external hard drive.

And I made my famous cookies tonight. A friend's birthday is today, so I thought I would give her the gift of fat. Dinner out with her fiance isn't enough in my opinion!

Now I have a huge headache, and I just spilled all my Aleve on the floor. You know what? Screw it. They're still digestible. Note to self: do not offer any Aleve to friends.

reboot your pc, it usually takes care of virtual memory problems, shut down unneeded programs, that helps too

Shut down or erase? I had Word and Firefox open. You're telling me if I just close them, then I could be ok?

DO NOT erase anything, just turn your computer off (shut down) and back on. you can hit ctrl-alt-dlt and see all the programs running on your computer. it could be anti-virus,messengers,some other background things that are going on.is there a lot of icons in the bottom right corner of the screen?

Task manager says one program is running; processes running are 58. And yes, I do have a lot of icons in the right-hand corner, most of which I don't use, like Road Runner Medic.

If you don't feel totally lost you can go to start/run type -msconfig, there will be a tab "start (or similar)" click on it and uncheck the entries that you recognize but don't use. do not uncheck anything you don't recognize. then reboot your computer, there will be warning when it comes up,check "do not show again" and it should work little faster. it prevents all the unnecessary "helper" programs from eating your memory.

Yeah, I understand that I think. Thanks for the tip!! It's been almost two months since I updated my iPod. I miss my podcasts!

I wouldn't take any pill that's been on my floor. My mongrel mutt sheds like a cat. Well, I guess if the pill was an expensive prescription, I'd wipe it off and take it. But not an OTC pain killer.

Ok, 58 processes down to 54 and my computer is up and running well so far. Thanks Meesha!

Yeah, Donna, normally I don't ever put anything in my mouth that's been on my floor. I have two cats that shed. But I figured that since I cleaned the floor today, this would be the one time I would do it. OTC or not, when being unemployed, everything counts!!
